Jacob Okunola was trained as a professional tailor but did not use it for
commercial purpose. He later underwent training as a welder. He worked with
Ministry of Works and Housing as a welder for so many years. Worked briefly with
NEPA and Atlantic Textile Mill Ikeja. He was a foreman with the company before
he retired in the late 80s.
Jacob Okunola was married to Mrs. Rhoda Funke (Nee Afolabi) and they
had the following children: Kayode born on 24.4.1969, Segun born on 1.7.1971,
Olamide born on 18.9.1973, Ibukun born on 11.2.1981 Dupe born on 1.6.84 and
Folake born on 15.10.1986. Okunola died after a briefly illness at Aboru, Oke-Odo
in Alimosho Local Govt. on April 10" 2010 at the age of 79 years and was buried
on May 29h 2010 at his house 37, Oluwafadeyi St. Aboru.
