MAMA OPEYEMI

Our parents had seven children, one female and six males. The first born of our parents was a female named Maria Oyinlola. She was tall like our father and was given a tribal mark called "Abaja" as our parents had. She was the only one with Tribal mark. She had no formal education but engaged in trading activities with our mother in such necessities as Kolanuts, bushmeat, sleeping mats and   sundry others. She was married to Mr Ezekiel Adisa Olawore from Ayorunbo village just about a mile to our village : Balogun The marriage was blessed with six (5) children Foluke, Sunday, Oreitan, Oluyemi, Olumide and lyabo. Madam Oyinlola Olawore died on the 8" of May, 2002 at the age of 79 years and was buried on 31" August 2002 at Modakeke.
Mention must be made of Sunday Akinlabi Olawore. He was the second
born of our sister, but he was very close to the Ojeleye family that most people
thought that he was born by our mother. He lived most of his youthful days
with us at Balogun village. He was highly educated. He established OPEYEMI
GROUP OF SCHOOLS AT BADAGRY. He was an eloquent speaker and this was
even noticed from his youth by our mother who used to say "ELEJO WEWE
OMO OLAWORE" (The voluble son of Olawore), He died on 5" of January 2008
after a brief illness at Badagry but was buried on 28 March 2008 at
Modakeke.
