PA ADEBISI OJELEYE(SNR DADDY)

While Oyinlola, Okunola and Olayiwola had no formal education, Bisi     Oladosu, Abiodun and Foluso had formal education and attended St. John's Primary School Ayorunbo at one time or the other. However, Okunola and Olayiwola were able to read and write through private arrangements of their own. Our parents struggled hard to educate Pa Adebisi while he in turn did everything humanly possible to ensure that his siblings and members of the extended family got good education. In this regard, he even crossed the path of our father; a farmer who in spite of his own love for education also believed that the younger ones should be of assistance to him on the farm. However, Bisi was a lover of education and he wanted everybody that came through him to be educated at all cost. The Yoruba adage says "Se bi mi ija londa sile" (be like me always bring trouble). He did not believe in sparing the rod and spoiling the child. He used iron hands to make sure his siblings and children were educated. People thought he was wicked but those of us who passed through his tutelage realized that he did the right thing.
